Patent drawings of production-mature Seat el-Born are popping up

Seat is in full swing behind the scenes developing its new electric car. In the meantime, it is no longer a secret which car that will be. Patent drawings have now been published of the production-ready el-Born.

At the Geneva Salon last year, Seat showed its preview of an electric future. The Spaniards clearly took the ID.3 of parent company Volkswagen as the basis. Although the el-Born was a concept car according to the developers, it seemed to be almost ready for production. Spy images of the production-ready el-Born subsequently confirmed this suspicion and because of these new patent drawings we really can no longer ignore it: Seat sticks strongly to the concept car.

All details clearly appear on the patent drawing. Take the roasted grille and the special C-style print. We can see from the bumpers that it is the production version of the Seat. For example, parking sensors and other auxiliary systems can be seen there. The decorative triangle in the rear bumper disappears. Furthermore, the recipe seems clear. Compared to ID.3, the Spaniard is slightly angled and, like the Leon or Tarraco for example, he receives a continuous light bar in the tailgate.

On a technical level, Seat naturally goes to work with the technology that Volkswagen also uses. So expect different versions with different action radiuses that can run up to around 500 kilometers. According to Seat, the car will be unveiled this year.
