Pay with Apple Pay on iPhone

Pay with Apple Pay on iPhoneThe wallet can now stay at home. Because with Apple Pay you pay easily and contactless with an iPhone.

Apple Pay is a payment service from Apple on the iPhone and Apple Watch, among others. The service makes debit cards superfluous. The cards simply remain in the wallet or do not even need to be carried anymore. Apple Pay works wherever you can pay contactless. Instead of a debit card, hold the iPhone at the payment terminal. In addition, you can also pay with the service in apps and on various websites.

Paying with Apple Pay is safe. The largest banks in the Netherlands are collaborating on the payment system. The user links a bank’s debit card to Apple Pay. The device does not store the debit card and transaction data on the device.

For each payment, the user must agree to the fingerprint scanner, facial recognition or unlock code of the phone. In addition, paying with Apple Pay in stores is done via a contactless communication method, called NFC. This means that someone can only pay if the phone is less than ten centimeters away from the card machine.

Apple Pay is available on the iPhone SE and iPhone 6 or later. People with an Apple Watch can also pay contactless via the watch. In addition, the service is accessible on newer models of the iPad. The device must contain the app of a participating bank. In addition, an Apple ID is required. That is an account with Apple.
