The payment service iDEAL will soon introduce a new function that will make payments even easier. You need to know this.
Paying with iDEAL will soon become even easier
In the Netherlands, paying with iDEAL is often one of the easiest ways to buy things online. You fill in your details, choose your bank and when you are ready to pay, all you have to do is approve the payment.
But it can be even easier, because the payment service will soon add a new function. This not only makes paying with iDEAL even easier, but it is also faster.
When you order something now, you often have to enter your address and other information separately, after which you can only pay with iDEAL. Soon this will no longer be necessary, because the payment service will then give you the option to create profiles. This includes your address details and the payment account you prefer to use.
The advantage is that you no longer have to enter this information every time you want to order something online. You will then receive a new option that allows you to pay faster. You can compare this a bit with how PayPal works. You then have an option with which you can pay quickly and your address details are then automatically passed on to the website.
In addition, with the new version of iDEAL you no longer have to navigate to your bank’s site or app. You can then simply complete a payment at iDEAL itself. You do not necessarily have to use the new function to pay with iDEAL. The old way also remains available.
Creating profiles for iDEAL should happen in April. iDEAL does not provide a more specific date. So please be patient!
