Diesel still more expensive than petrol

Fuel prices have been high for months, but have recently declined slightly. What seems? Petrol has not been as ‘cheap’ this year as it is now.
According to consumer collective United Consumers, the Average National Recommended Retail Price (GLA) for a liter of Euro 95 (E10) is now €2,092. At the beginning of January, the GLA was slightly above that. United Consumers calculates the Average National Recommended Retail Price (GLA) of fuel on a daily basis, based on the suggested retail prices of the five largest oil companies. On June 8, the GLA for a liter of petrol reached a painful record high at €2,504. The lower excise duty on fuel, effective April 1, also applies in part of 2023.
The drop in the gasoline price is due to the fact that the price of a barrel of American oil fell sharply at the beginning of this month, partly due to the unstable international economy and the relatively expensive dollar. Unfortunately for diesel drivers, diesel is still very expensive. A liter of diesel still costs more than a liter of petrol. For a liter of diesel UnitedConsumers gives an Average National MSRP of €2,115. At the time of writing, a liter of LPG costs €1,079. Mind you, you may very well find local gas stations where you pay less than the liter prices mentioned in this article. The GLA usually only applies at main points along the highway.
