The Peugeot 2008 will be four years old in a few months and that of course means that behind the scenes Peugeot already has a facelifted variant ready. That refreshed Peugeot 2008 can be seen from all angles in a new set of photos. In addition to external adjustments, count mainly on major technical changes.

It is not the first time that we can show you pictures of a camouflaged test sample of the renewed Peugeot 2008. However, the previously snapped copy had an unchanged front. Only the rear of the compact crossover in the stickers. The prototype shown in these photos does have a new front. The Peugeot 2008 – a low-positioned version given the halogen lamps and steel wheels – will receive a new grille, among other things. We do not yet know the mesh as this test model has from the 2008.

The tusks remain, but the grille is filled in differently.

More interesting is what Peugeot has in store for the 2008 technically. For example, the current 1.2 PureTech machines will be replaced by 100 hp and 130 hp units with a 48v mild hybrid system. In addition, the electric e-2008 also benefits from motor news. The Peugeot e-2008 will also have the new and above all more efficient 156 hp electric motor that replaces the 136 hp current model. Peugeot will also install a new battery pack in the electric crossover. This electric powertrain should give the Peugeot e-2008 a range of about 400 kilometers. The Peugeot e-208 already has this powertrain as a GT. You will also find it in the Opel Mokka Electric, DS 3 E-Tense and Jeep Avenger. The electric Opel Astra Electric and Peugeot e-308 also get this combination of electric motor and battery.
