Mild hybrid next to well-known 1.2 PureTech
Just like Opel, Peugeot is slowly but surely introducing new mild-hybrid petrol engines to its models. Before Peugeot publicizes it itself, AutoWeek can now tell you what the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 with mild-hybrid powertrains should cost.
Peugeot completes the delivery range of both the 3008 and the 5008 with mild-hybrid 1.2 petrol engines. They do not replace the 1.2 PureTech 130 machines – which are only available in combination with a six-speed manual transmission – but are placed next to them. The full Hybrid 136 e-DCS6 powertrain consists of a 136 hp 1.2 PureTech three-cylinder that is connected to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission in which a 28 hp and 55 Nm strong electric motor is integrated. According to Peugeot, this powertrain is up to 15 percent more fuel efficient. The mild hybrid 3008 records an average consumption of 5.6 l/100 km behind its name. The mild hybrid 5008 scores an average consumption of 5.7 l/100 km.
The Peugeot 3008 is available with a mild hybrid petrol engine from €44,370. For that amount you drive the Allure Pack Business version. A 3008 with the well-known 130 hp 1.2 PureTech without mild hybrid support and manual gearbox costs €41,470 in the same version. The Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 136 e-DSC6 is also available as a GT and costs €46,180 in that configuration.
For the mild-hybrid Peugeot 5008 Hybrid 136 e-DSC6 you will have to pay at least €46,270. That price is for the Active Pack Business version, which is not yet available for the 3008. Above that is the Peugeot 5008 Hybrid 136 e-DSC6 Allure Pack Business which costs €47,370. For the mild-hybrid Peugeot 5008 in GT trim you have lost €49,180. Unlike the 3008, the 5008 is not available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
