Peugeot 3008 now also available as a plug-in hybrid with 195 hp

The new Peugeot 3008 could already be ordered as a 210 hp electric e-3008 and was also included on the Dutch price list with mild-hybrid machines. A plug-in hybrid has now been added, the 3008 Plug-in Hybrid 195 e-DCS7. It is available from over €46,000.

Peugeot is adding a plug-in hybrid engine version to the 3008 range. Its full name is Peugeot 3008 Plug-in Hybrid 195 e-DCS7 and with that quite long name it already gives away how much power it has: 195 hp. That system power comes from a 150 hp and 300 Nm strong 1.6 petrol engine and a 125 hp electric motor. Shifting is done by means of a seven-speed automatic transmission with double clutch and that could also be deduced from the name of the engine version.

From a standstill, the Peugeot 3008 with this powertrain reaches a speed of 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. Its top speed: 220 km/h. The plug-in hybrid Peugeot 3008 has a 21-kWh battery, a relatively large battery if you compare it with the 12.4-kWh batteries that Peugeot has in the plug-in hybrid versions of the 308 and 508. This package gives the new plug-in hybrid Peugeot 3008 an electric range of 80 kilometers. The Peugeot 3008 Plug-in Hybrid DCS7 has a starting price of €46,390. For that amount you can drive the Allure version. It is also available in a more lavishly decorated and sportier GT trim and costs €50,890 in that configuration.
