Fresh nose, more power
Citroën and Peugeot are updating their electric passenger vans. The Citroën ë-Spacetourer and Peugeot e-Traveller get a slightly different front and logically the electric powertrain also gets a refresher.
Peugeot and Citroën offer the passenger versions of the Expert and Jumpy, the Traveler and the Spacetourer respectively, only electrically. Both the Peugeot e-Traveller and the Citroën ë-Spacetourer date from 2020 and the French now think it’s time for a refresher. Still, it is not very surprising that a facelift will soon follow, because the vans are already seven years old. Count on the fact that the facelift does not only apply to the passenger versions, but also to the order variants.
The changes are probably not earth-shattering, although due to the thick layer of camouflage on both the Citroën and the Peugeot it is still a bit difficult to see what exactly is happening. In any case, it is clear that both space giants will get new headlights with a new light signature. You can also count on a newly filled front, with differently shaped air intakes and other inserts. In the interior, which has only been taped to a limited extent, the change does not exactly jump out at us, although you can logically expect updated infotainment here.
In the technical field, the arrival of a stronger electric powertrain is in line with expectations. After all, the electric Stellantis vans now still have the 136 hp electric motor, but in various models it has largely handed over the baton to a newer 156 hp version. The slightly larger and new 51 kWh battery pack will probably also be spooned into the vans, which will undoubtedly increase the standard range (now 219 km). The larger 75 kWh battery pack is undoubtedly also included, which means they can now travel up to 330 km. Count on the Opel Zafira-e and the Fiat e-Ulysse (and its delivery brothers) to join the facelift round as well. They just haven’t been spotted yet.
