Peugeot, Citroën and Opel have decided to only supply the passenger car versions of their small and medium-sized delivery vans as EVs. What is special is that the decision does not only apply to the Netherlands, but to the whole of Europe.

These are the Peugeot Rifter, Peugeot Traveler, Citroën Berlingo, Citroën SpaceTourer, Opel Combo Life, Opel Vivaro Combi and Opel Zafira Combi, with the latter two models being two versions of the same car. All mentioned models are now only available in pure electric form. The Peugeots are therefore only known as e-Rifter and e-Traveller, the Citroëns go through life as standard as ë-Berlingo and ë-SpaceTourer and the Opels are called Combo-e, Vivaro-e and Zafira-e Life.

Those electric versions were already there for all models mentioned, but the existing diesel and petrol versions are being deleted. This is certainly not a bad idea for the Netherlands, because these variants are much more expensive here than was intended by the manufacturers due to their relatively high CO2 emissions. You can view the prices and specifications of the electric versions here. For the Rifter, Berlingo and Combo, the party starts around 38 mille, the larger buses start in luxury form around 50. However, a larger battery pack is available here, with which you can add 10 mille to that starting price.

Incidentally, Citroën has already taken this step for the Netherlands, but now it also applies to the other brands and the rest of Europe.

For those who can no longer see the woods because of all the names: The Rifter is the luxury brother of the Peugeot Partner, the Traveler is the luxury passenger car version of the Peugeot Expert. The Berlingo is always called Berlingo at Citroën, but the SpaceTourer is based on the Citroën Jumpy. We know the Opels in commercial vehicle form as Combo and Vivaro. All smaller models are of course identical to each other except for the nose, interior and decoration, and that also applies to the three larger models from Peugeot, Opel and Citroën. Both buses are also supplied by Toyota. The question of whether this step also applies to that brand lies with the importer.

Fiat, which just like Peugeot, Citroën and Opel belongs to Stellantis, has its own Doblò in its range for the time being. With the new Scudo/Ulysse there is a counterpart of the Jumpy/SpaceTourer, Expert/Traveller and Vivaro/Zafira, but the exact delivery range is not yet known. For the sake of clarity: the Peugeot, Opel and Citroën vans are still available with a combustion engine, because this only concerns the passenger car versions.
