Philips Hue introduces a range of new smart features and accessories, including a new AI assistant in the Hue app. There are also new Hue Secure features and accessories and the Philips Hue Sync TV app for LG TVs.

It is AI that is all the rage at the CES tech fair in Las Vegas. AI is put in everywhere, otherwise you don’t seem to count. Signify also announces new features and accessories for Philips Hue: it introduces the first generative AI assistant in the Hue app, which delivers personalized light scenes based on mood, occasion or style. In addition, the Philips Hue Sync TV app will now also support LG TVs (webOS24+). Finally, there are also some new features available for the Philips Hue Secure security system.

Personalized AI-powered lighting
The first generative AI assistant in the Hue app should deliver personalized light scenes based on mood, occasion or style. Available from early 2025, the assistant will allow users to type or speak English commands to create the perfect atmosphere, with feedback features that ensure continuous improvement.

More entertainment on LG TVs
The Philips Hue Sync TV app now also supports LG TVs (webOS24+) and offers dynamic light synchronization for all content, from streaming apps to gaming consoles. Previously only available for Samsung TVs, the app supports formats like Dolby Vision and 8K for unparalleled immersive lighting experiences.

More security with Hue Secure
Hue Secure integrates cameras, sensors and lighting into one integrated security system to better protect your home. New features include:
• Smoke Detector Sound Detection: receive immediate warnings and activate the navigation lights during emergencies.
• iOS widgets and voice control: access live camera views or schedule system settings directly from your device.
• Improved compatibility: stream live camera feeds to Amazon Alexa, Google Nest Hub and more.

Prices and availability
The Hue Sync TV app will be available for LG TVs worldwide in early 2025 and will cost €129.99, while the Hue Secure 3-meter USB-C cable will be available from March for a price of €19.99.
Finally, the Hue Secure new features will be available from the end of March.
