Tuner Pogea Racing has taken care of the Abarth 595. The small sports machine doesn’t just get an optical display of power, because Pogea has also done the necessary work from a technical point of view.
Recently, Abarth tackled the 595 at a detailed level, with few major adjustments as a result. For those who want more optical and technical fireworks, the German tuner Pogea Racing offers a solution. To begin with, the Hercules is quite a bit wider than the standard 595 thanks to flared wheel arches and a matching new side skirt. It looks like extra air slots have been added, but they are there purely for show. In addition, the large rear spoiler and the extra cooling slots in the hood are not to be missed. To minimize the impact on weight, all parts are made of carbon fiber. To top it off, Pogea assembles new footwear in the form of 18-inch multi-spoke wheels.
It does not stop there, because the 1.4 T-Jet can be tickled to 220 hp and 350 Nm of torque if desired. That 40 hp increase over the standard Abarth 595 Competizione is due to a sports exhaust system with modified downpipes and an upgrade of the ECU. According to Pogea, the sporty gem should be able to sprint to 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds, half a second faster than the Competizione. In view of the tuning company’s past, these are still mild figures. Pogea does not only focus on power: if desired, the customer can opt for coilovers from KW, with which Pogea promises better handling than the factory suspension. The price of the above modifications is unknown, but don’t assume it is a cheap affair.
