Porsche Panamera as a 700 hp Turbo S E-Hybrid

Porsche recently gave the Panamera a facelift and added the new 680 hp Turbo S variant to the delivery range during that extra-point session. This temporary top version must now recognize its superiority in a mighty plug-in hybrid: the Turbo S E-Hybrid!

Highlights

  • Turbo S E-Hybrid after facelift 700 hp
  • 4 E-Hybrid also returns to the renewed Panamera
  • A total of three plug-in hybrid powertrains
  • 4S also returns to the updated Panamera range
  • Prices announced immediately

Just like that of the Porsche 911, the Panamera range has expanded enormously. The facelifted Panamera was introduced to a new Turbo S version, a 680 hp powerful version that took a solid step above the 550 hp Panamera Turbo. The updated version of the Turbo S E-Hybrid kept Porsche under wraps, apparently for good reason. The plug-in hybrid variant used to be 680 hp powerful, but returns in 700 hp form to the facelifted Porsche Panamera and Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo.

The plug-in hybrid Turbo S E-Hybrid now has a 571 hp version of the biturbo 4.0 V8 in its nose, a machine that is more powerful than the 550 hp variant in the pre-facelift version. That mighty 4.0 V8 is again coupled to a 136 hp electric motor, a unit that brings the system power to an impressive 700 hp. A more powerful eight-cylinder isn’t the only news Porsche is bringing to the revised Turbo S E-Hybrid. For example, the plug-in’s battery pack is now 17.9 kWh instead of 14 kWh. The larger electric lung capacity gives the Turbo S E-Hybrid a 27 percent greater electric range. Like the other plug-ins, the Turbo S E-Hybrid has an eight-speed PDK automatic transmission. With the Sport Chrono package, the Turbo S E-Hybrid accelerates to a speed of 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds. That is 0.2 seconds faster than before. The top speed is 315 km / h. The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid reaches 50 kilometers on fully electric power. From the outside, the Turbo S E-Hybrid can be recognized by its light units from the Panamera Turbo.

4 E-Hybrid

More plugin news? Hell yes! The renewed Porsche Panamera and Panamera Sport Turismo are introduced to another plug-in hybrid variant: the 4 E-Hybrid. This third plug flavor for the Panamera comes a step below the 560 hp 4S E-Hybrid. Under the hood a 330 hp 2.9-liter biturbo V6, a machine that, thanks to an electric motor, has a system power of 462 hp. Also in this plug-in i the battery pack is 17.9 kWh and that is actually the news. Also before the facelift, the Panamera was available as a 4 E-Hybrid, although the battery pack was still 14 kWh in size. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid rumbles to a speed of 100 km / h in 4.4 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than before. Its top speed: 280 km / h. The electric range is 56 kilometers.

4S

Porsche does not stop at the introduction of new plug-in flavors. The delivery range of the renewed Panamera and Panamera Sport Turismo will be further expanded with the new 4S variant. This variant with 440 hp 3.0 V6 also existed before the facelift that Porsche carried out on the model earlier this year. With the Sport Chrono package, the 4S sprints to a speed of 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds. At 295 km / h acceleration is a thing of the past. The Panamera 4S has the front that comes with the Sport Design package as standard.
