Porsche pulls the plug on Panamera Sport Turismo

The new Porsche Panamera will no longer have a second body variant. Porsche is killing the Panamera Sport Turismo due to disappointing sales figures.

The Porsche Panamera body style that is the reason for the existence of the Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo versions of the Taycan is no more. The new Panamera will no longer have a Sport Turismo variant and will therefore always have a low liftback. This is evident from reporting from Automotive News based on statements from Porsche itself.

The second generation Panamera, which appeared in 2016, was the first of which Porsche presented a station wagon-like hatchback version: the Panamera Sport Turismo. The more practically shaped Panamera, launched in 2017, appeared on the scene in 2017 and will not get a second life. According to the manufacturer, the Panamera only plays a marginal role in sales in its two most important markets – China and the United States.
