Porsche is part of the growing list of car manufacturers that release ‘espionage images’ themselves. As a result, we can now take a first look at a very lightly camouflaged Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo.
The camouflage actually consists mainly of the black paint color, traditionally a good choice for those who want to hide the shapes of a car as well as possible. We also have to do with two images for the time being, but especially the image of the back leaves little to guess. The electric Porsche Taycan gets a little brother with the name Taycan Cross Turismo, which can be disrespectfully described as a raised station wagon version of the regular Taycan.
The biggest news consists of the longer roofline and large tailgate. The station wagon-like shape makes this Taycan a lot more practical than the existing Taycan, which has a sloping roofline and a small sedan tailgate.
The second part of the news is the ‘Cross’ part. The Taycan Cross Turismo is higher on its legs and is therefore chased through a puddle in the second photo that we would certainly avoid in a regular Taycan. To underline the tough character, the Cross Turismo gets a specific driving mode for difficult conditions, and all kinds of exterior details such as the already clearly visible fender extensions. This makes the car actually very much like its forerunner from 2018, the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo.
Incidentally, everything indicates that a Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo will appear in addition to the Cross Turismo. That’s a Taycan with the five-door carriage, but without the raised part. However, Porsche does not yet say a word about this, so the Cross Turismo will undoubtedly be launched first.
