Price new Hyundai i20 announced

Hyundai has released the prices of the new i20. It can be ordered immediately and has an entry price of less than € 18,000.

Hyundai would have liked to show its brand-new i20 at the Geneva Motor Show, but because things are going slightly differently than planned this year, the new competitor, including the Kia Rio and Ford Fiesta, had to make do with a digital introduction. A shame, with its extravagant appearance, the third generation i20 is a true attention-grabber within its segment. It is now known that the new i20 is at your door for just under 18 grand.

The starting price of the new Hyundai i20 has been set at € 17,895. That amount is for the absolute entry-level version, the i20 with 84 hp atmospheric 1.2 under the hood. That 1.2 is always linked to a manual five-speed gearbox. The entry-level i20 is designed as i-Motion. More interesting is the answer to the question of what the i20 with the brand new 1.0 T-GDI engines costs. The i20 can also be ordered with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo engine. That gasoline-fired block is in all cases equipped with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. At least as relevant are the transmissions with which it is available to get 1.0. Hyundai links the 100 hp T-GDI as standard to its iMT transmission, a manual six-speed gearbox that disengages automatically as soon as the driver releases the accelerator. In addition, the petrol engine is available with a completely new seven-speed automatic transmission with double clutch for the i20.

The 1.0 T-GDI with six-speed manual gearbox, executed as Comfort, has a starting price of € 20,695. An equivalent i20, but with the new seven-speed automatic with double clutch, has a starting price of € 22,795. Entry-level version i-Motion is not available for the 1.0 T-GDIs. Just like the i20 with 1.2 MPI, the copies with the 1.0 T-GDI are available as Comfort and Comfort Plus. Specific to the 1.0 T-GDIs are the Premium and Premium Sky versions.

Equipment

Basic version i-Motion gets air conditioning and cruise control from Hyundai as standard. The Comfort comes standard with a full digital instrumentation with a diameter of 10.25 inches, an 8-inch infotainment screen, LED daytime running lights, a reversing camera and 16-inch light alloy. The Comfort Smart has a larger infotainment screen (10.25-inch) with navigation. The higher positioned Premium also has a Bose audio system, seat heating, a heated steering wheel, climate control, an active lane assistant, keyless entry, a parking assistant, privacy glass and a rain sensor. The Premium Sky adds an electrically operated sliding / tilting roof to this.
