Farewell to a variant

In the middle of this year, Toyota carried out an optically small but technically relatively drastic facelift on the Corolla. We now have all the prices of that improved Corolla. This time there is also bad news: as of the new model year, the Dutch importer will stop supplying the Corolla Sedan.
In June, Toyota put the Corolla on the cutting table. The appearance of the Corolla family was only subtly addressed. The changes mainly related to the arrival of new bi-LED headlights to the more expensive versions. In addition, station version Touring Sports received new taillights. However, all Corollas received new mesh in the grille in the front bumper. More interesting is what Toyota changed in the Corolla. For example, the Corollas got access to a new and now 10.5-inch large infotainment system and a fully digital 12.3-inch large instrumentation. In addition, both the 1.8 Hybrid and 2.0 Hybrid received new powertrains. With 140 hp, the 1.8 Hybrid is now 18 hp more powerful than before, while the power of the 184 hp 2.0 Hybrid was increased to 196 hp. Together with a weight reduction of up to 18 kilos, this gave Toyota’s Corolla better performance. Now we know what the new Toyota’s Corolla should cost in the Netherlands.
The new Toyota Corolla costs at least €33,995 in the Netherlands. For that amount you get the Corolla Hatchback with 140 hp 1.8 Hybrid powertrain, performed as Comfort. The Corolla Hatchback with 196 hp 2.0 High Power Hybrid powertrain changes hands from a minimum of €42,495. That price applies to the temporarily available First Edition introductory version.
It is over in the Netherlands for the Toyota Corolla Sedan.
Prefer a Corolla Touring Sports? Count on a price tag of at least €38,195 for the version with 140 hp 1.8 Hybrid hardware. For the 2.0 High Power Hybrid powertrain you will lose €44,495 in this case. That amount also applies to the First Edition. A major absentee in the renewed Corolla range is the Corolla Sedan. It is no longer available in the Netherlands from the new model year. Previously, Toyota delivered the Corolla Sedan only as a 122 hp 1.8 Hybrid. The adventurously dressed Trek versions of the Corolla Touring Sports will in any case not return for the time being.
The renewed Toyota Corolla will be launched on the Dutch market in the second quarter of 2023, but can be ordered immediately.
