At the beginning of this year, Fiat added new Hybrid versions of both the 500 and the Panda to its portfolio. Now it is also known what amounts Fiat wants to receive for those new electrified flavors.
To remove possible confusion: although Fiat calls the new variants of the 500 and Panda optimistic ‘Hybrid’, we are dealing here with new mild-hybrid engine versions. The pair benefits from a 70-horsepower 1.0-liter three-cylinder from the Firefly family, a new engine family that made its world debut in South America. The 70 hp and 92 Nm strong three-cylinder is coupled to a 12-volt mild-hybrid system that supports the engine at certain times. That saves on consumption. According to Fiat, the new 500 and Panda versions emit 1.2 to 30 percent less CO2 compared to the 69 hp versions.
The starting price of the 500 1.0 Hybrid is set at € 10,986, making it the cheapest 500 that you can order. The 1.0 Hybrid is also available as a Lounge, Star, Rockstar and temporarily as a Launch Edition. These versions cost € 12,391, € 13,300, € 13,300 and € 18,879, respectively. The 500C, the 500 with a retractable roof, is also available as 1.0 Hybrid and as Pop costs at least € 13,465. For the Lounge, Star, Rockstar and Lounge Edition, Fiat asks € 14,870, € 15,779, € 15,779 and € 16,858, respectively. The Twinair is no longer available, but Fiat still has 69 hp 1.2 on the order list. The latter power source can be linked to the Dualogic automatic transmission. The 1.0 Hybrid always has a manual six-speed gearbox.
Panda
The price list of the Panda is a lot clearer. Fiat supplies the model as a sturdy City Cross, complete with plastic wheel arch edges, from € 14,290. The temporarily available Launch Edition costs € 15,290. Those who want the four-wheel-drive Panda Cross 4×4 are dependent on the 85 hp TwinAir. This taste costs € 20,490.
