Prices renewed Volvo S90 and V90 announced

At the end of February, car country was introduced to the facelifted Volvo S90 and V90, models that already have Dutch price tags. Remarkable: the entire engine range is being redesigned.

The S90 and V90 were placed on the cutting table five and four years after their market introduction, respectively. The Swedish pair were apparently tackled with velvet gloves, since the optical changes were limited to the lighting and the bumper work. More interesting is the engine range of the two Volvo cars, which changes completely.

The S90 and V90 were to date available as T4, T5, T8 and as D4 while station brother V90 was also available as D3. The price list of the updated S90 and V90 now looks completely different. The D3 and D4 diesels are namely cut out of the delivery range of the cars and that means that you can only get the S90 and V90 with gasoline engines. These gasoline engines are also not just gasoline engines, because each instance is assisted by a form of electrification. The 190 hp T4 and the 250 hp T5 are replaced by the B4 and B5. Indeed, gasoline engines with mild hybrid support. The 2.0 four-cylinder in the B4 delivers 197 hp and 300 Nm of torque in the base and receives support from a 14 hp and 40 Nm strong electrical part. The B5 is a 250 horsepower and 350 Nm strong 2.0 four-cylinder that, thanks to mild hybrid technology, can also have 14 hp and 40 Nm extra. Higher on the list are the T8s, the well-known 390 hp strong plug-in hybrid. The V90 is also available as a T6 Plug-in, a 340 hp variant.

S90

The starting price of the S90 is set at € 54,995. For that money you drive the 197-horsepower B4 in Business Pro trim. Do you prefer the more luxurious Inscription or the sporty design of the R-Design? Then reserve amounts of € 57,995 and € 58,995. The S90 B5 changes ownership from € 59,995 (Business Pro) and costs € 62,995 and € 63,995 as Inscription and R-Design. Prefer the plug-in hybrid T8? Then reserve € 66,995 for the Business Pro and € 69,995 and € 70,995 for the Inscription and R-Design flavors. Prefer the V90? Add an amount of € 3,000 to all combinations mentioned above. The exception is the T6, which is not available in the S90. This plug-in hybrid features a 253 horsepower and 350 Nm strong 2.0-liter four-cylinder that receives assistance from an 87 hp and 240 Nm strong electric motor that drives the rear wheels. The system power is 340 hp. The V90 with this 340 hp plug-in hybrid powertrain costs at least € 66,995, here too the basic version is the Business Pro. The T6 costs as Inscription and as R-Design € 69,995 and € 70,995.

V90 Cross Country

The sturdy dressed and raised version of the V90, the V90 Cross Country, is only available as a B5 and as a B6, always executed as a Cross Country Pro. The well-known 250-horsepower V90 Cross Country B5 costs € 71,995 while the 300-horsepower version with the B6 mild-hybrid power source should yield € 76,995. The B6 has a 300 horsepower and 420 Nm strong 2.0 that, just like the B4 and B5, is supported by mild-hybrid hardware.
