Already at 15,000 kilometers

Are you considering a private lease car? Then you are probably faced with the choice between a car with or without a petrol engine. Calculate this carefully, because the EV often turns out to be cheaper than it seems.
EVs are often still a bit more expensive than a petrol equivalent, which is of course especially noticeable for models that are available in both electric and non-electric form. This applies to anyone who wants to buy a car, but it is certainly also reflected in the monthly private lease amount. Take the Opel Mokka: in electric form it costs 540 euros per month for 10,000 kilometers and 60 months, while a petrol version costs 457.
But that doesn’t get you there yet. After all, in order to drive, you also have to refuel or load. Already at 15,000 kilometers per year, the electric car appears to have an advantage in most cases, because it is simply cheaper to drive. In the case of the Opel Mokka in this example, this makes a negligible difference of 42 euros per year, but there are cars where the differences are greater. Want to know how big? Then see here how the calculation works out at 10,000 kilometers and in the case of the BMW Peugeot 2008.
