Pure nostalgia: you want to see these old images of the iPhone with iOS 4

You sometimes hear that everything was better in the past. We don’t necessarily agree with that, but it’s nice to sometimes look back at what it was like. Check out these video images of the iPhone with iOS 4 for a dose of pure nostalgia!

Pure nostalgia: Apple iPhone with iOS 4

This year the iPhone turned 15 and Apple has released more than 30 iPhones in recent years. The iOS operating system has also undergone a lot of changes over the years.

Want to see what it was like early? Check out the video below from the Consumers’ Association about the iPhone and let the nostalgia take you away. In this, the release of iOS 4 was discussed by Sanne Jansweijer.

iOS 4 brought these changes

She tells in this video that a lot has remained the same, but that you can now “finally choose your own background”. Multitasking was also just around the corner. This required you to quickly press the home button twice. With iOS 4 it also became possible to put apps in folders. It’s nice to see that some of the features introduced in iOS 4 are still there, even in iOS 16.

Another striking detail was that it was only since iOS 4 that you could create playlists for music on your iPhone. Before that, you always had to create them in iTunes. Also new was that you could zoom in with the camera. With which you actually only made a crop of the photo, because the iPhone did not yet have an optical zoom (that only came with the iPhone 7 Plus).
