Land Rover Range Rover

Land Rover is sharpening the Range Rover and that also has consequences for the engine range. The plug-ins are getting stronger and are getting further electrically and a stronger version with V8 will be added. That makes it the strongest production Range Rover ever.

If you want to be able to drive the Land Rover Range Rover electrically, which was unveiled at the end of 2021, you will still have to rely on one of the two plug-in hybrid versions for the time being. The strongest of these, the P510e, can do a lot with its 510 hp power: in just 5.5 seconds you can reach 100 km / h from standstill and up to 113 km driving range (WLTP). Not strong and fast enough? Then Land Rover now has the answer: the new and stronger P550e takes over from the P510e. In the 550 hp P550e, a new 218 hp electric motor works together with the 3.0 six-in-line to shoot the Range Rover to 100 km / h in 5 seconds.

If it is all a bit less, you can now go for the 460 hp P460e instead of the P440e (440 hp). The milder plug-in hybrid Range Rover is also getting a bit stronger and now sprints from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.7 seconds. The fully electric driving range of the plug-in hybrid Range Rovers is also improving: they now reach 121 km (WLTP) instead of 113 km.

Strongest Range Rover ever

For those who prefer not to work with a plug at all and who prefer petrol violence, the Land Rover Range Rover is of course also available with a V8. It also gets a power boost and a best one too. Where until now it has remained at 530 hp and 750 Nm, there is now a whopping 615 hp and strong mild-hybrid version of the 4.4 V8 in the range. A considerable power spurt, although the maximum torque remains the same. It gives the P615, the strongest ex-works Range Rover ever, a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.5 seconds (4.6 on the LWB). The P615 is only available in combination with top version SV. The P530 is not forgotten, because the V8 now also has mild hybrid support in that version.

Refining

The innovations go hand in hand with a model year update for the Land Rover Range Rover, with the SUV including the new Pivi Pro infotainment. The operation of the climate and volume controls next to the screen has also been improved. The Range Rover also gets ‘Country Road Assist’, with which the adaptive cruise control automatically adjusts the speed if, for example, other speed limits are encountered on the route or there are bends where braking slightly is advisable.
