Where is the sun?
Now is the time to buy a convertible. After all, it is absolutely not convertible weather yet and so people are not queuing for it, but secretly it won’t take long anymore. Maybe this Chrysler Stratus Convertible is something?
It is a bit sensitive to taste, this Chrysler Stratus Convertible, but it can be a nice convertible. A nice big one (by Dutch standards) cruiser where you can also sit with your hair in the wind. That sounds like a nice combination! It doesn’t even have to cost the top prize. The asking price is €2,895, while it still looks quite neat and has only driven about 130,000 km. Not bad at all. Moreover, it is a car that, as you would expect from such an American, has the much-needed electrical gadgets. Air conditioning, cruise control, electric windows; it’s all there.
You might easily overlook the Chrysler Stratus Convertible in your search for a convertible. After all, it has never become too common a car in the Netherlands. In its home country it was called Sebring and was sold not only as a convertible but also as a coupe, here in Europe it remained with the convertible and Chrysler put the name Stratus Convertible on it. In America, the name Stratus was only on the sedan brother of the Sebring and it was also sold here in the Netherlands as Stratus. Are you still following? By the way, it is not a thoroughly American car: the engine in this example is a 2.5-liter V6 from Mitsubishi. The ‘Cyclone V6’, which was also in ‘our’ Mitsubishi Galant.
Do you think all in all; ‘I must have this, where should I be?’, then put Purmerend in your navigation. It has been offered there since this week. A small but perhaps not unimportant side note: the previous two owners had been with it for less than a year. Maybe it was just a ‘fair weather car’ for short fun, but there may be a more serious reason behind it. So pay attention.
