Redesigned Jaguar XF stretches the legs

The Jaguar XF has been in its current form for five years now, which means that a modernized version of its medium-sized model is being worked on in Coventry. It’s that refreshed XF that has surfaced both as a sedan and in Sportbreak trim.

Jaguar introduced the sedan version of the current second-generation XF to the world in 2015. Fans of the station version of the XF were treated to a new XF Sportbreak two years later. Although the more spatially oriented XF is two years younger than its sedan brother, the two are simultaneously placed on the cutting table.

Last year, Jaguar proved with the facelifted XE that it is able to give its models optically subtle yet relevant updates. Such a course of action seems to apply the brand to the XF. Although both the XF sedan and XF Sportbreak are still fanatically packed with camouflage in these photos, it is already visible that the XF benefits from renewed light units and modified bumper work. In the interior, Jaguar uses new, improved materials and it is very likely that the infotainment system will also be replaced by the latest variant of the Touch Pro Duo system. So count on the arrival of a second display to control the climate control.

It is not yet clear what will technically change. Undoubtedly, Jaguar will upgrade its engines in terms of emissions. Whether the XF S survives that round of modernization remains to be seen.
