The Renault Express is a new player in the commercial vehicle market in the Netherlands. There is now also a pick-up version of that sober company car, a car that goes by the name Renault Express Van Pick Up.
The Renault Express is considered a simpler and cheaper alternative to the new Kangoo in the Netherlands. Just like the new Kangoo, the new Renault Express only comes to the Netherlands as a company car. In fact, the Renault Express is a Renault modified and refined version of the Dacia Dokker, complete with its own muzzle and new interior. In a handful of countries, the Renault Express will also be available as an Express Van Pick-up, the orange practical commercial vehicle that you see in this set of photos.
The Renault Express Van Pick-up is not a creation of Renault itself, but will be offered here and there through the official channels of Renault. The cut-open Express with open body is manufactured by Foraccia, an Italian company specializing in the conversion of commercial vehicles. Foraccia already had a Dacia Dokker Pick-up in its range and because the Express is actually a Dokker, it was apparently a piece of cake to turn the Express into a pick-up. In fact, the new plastic body panels are identical to those we find on the Dokker Pick-up.

The Renault Express Van Pick-up has, among other things, a reinforced bottom. The two-seater has a maximum payload of 675 kilos and must of course do without a sliding door. The depth of the cargo box is 1.79 meters without the storage box visible in the photos. The open tailgate can handle a weight of 300 kilos. In the Netherlands we do not expect the pick-up version of the Renault Express.
There are more pick-ups from Renault and Dacia that are not available in the Netherlands. For example, Renault has the Nissan Navara-based Alaskan on the menu in various markets and Renault supplies the Duster Oroch in various South American countries. The previous and current generations of Dacia Duster are also available with an open loading platform thanks to the Romanian Romturingia, but unfortunately not in the Netherlands. The first generation Dacia Logan also existed as a Pick-up. Another special Dacia variant that we do not know in the Netherlands is the Duster Fiskal, a bare-bones version of the Duster.
