The new Kangoo will of course get an electric version again and it is the electric commercial vehicle shown earlier this year that is now being discussed in more detail by Renault. The Kangoo E-Tech Electric will go on sale in the spring of next year.
In March this year, Renault lifted the new Kangoo onto the podium, a moment when the brand immediately showed the electric version of that commercial vehicle. Renault is now releasing extensive technical data about the Kangoo E-Tech Electric.
The Renault Kangoo E-Tech Electric will have a 122 hp electric motor and a 45 kWh battery pack in its bottom. That electric lung capacity is large enough for a WLTP range of up to 300 kilometers. A 3-phase charger is standard. At an 11 kW AC charging point, it takes about 3 hours and 50 minutes before the battery pack is fully charged from 15 to 100 percent of its capacity. Renault supplies a 22 kW charger as an option. Also optional is the option of fast charging with a maximum charging power of 80 kW. A heat pump is also standard.

The battery pack of the Kangoo E-Tech Electric is located in the bottom and therefore has no negative influence on the loading volume of the van. With 3.9 cubic meters in the short version, this is identical to that of the Kangoo with combustion engines. That short version will later be joined by a longer version with a loading volume of 4.9 cubic meters. The payload of the short Kangoo E-Tech Electric is 600 kilos, that of the longer version 800 kilos. The maximum towing weight (braked) is 1,500 kilos.
Renault will open the order books for the electric Kangoo E-Tech Electric in the spring of 2022. Prices will follow in the run-up to the market launch.
