Photos of the updated Audi A6 have surfaced in the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. At least, of the Chinese version of the A6, the A6 L. The A6 L is the longer version of ‘our’ A6. The Chinese Audi A6 L has a wheelbase that is 3.02 meters 10 centimeters larger than the model known here. That is not new, after all, the extended version of the current A6 has been around since 2018. In these photos, however, you see the Audi A6 L with a changed front.
Audi A6 (current model, S-line)
We certainly won’t blame you if you had to look at the photos several times to discover something new. The side-point session that Audi carries out on the A6 therefore does not seem to be intense. The revised Audi A6 L seems – as an S-Line – to at least get a differently arranged grille with the horizontal slats being more ‘segmented’. In addition, the front bumper of the A6 in S-Line trim has been slightly adjusted, because the chrome-colored ornament in the largest ‘cooling openings’ is new. The A6 that is not as S-Line executed also gets a slightly changed front bumper. The layout of the headlights is striking. We see no LED matrix headlights here, which of course does not mean that those viewers with T-shaped light signature do not return. The layout of the headlights in these photos is slightly different from what we are used to, especially at the bottom.
We expect that the version of the Audi A6 intended for the European market will differ little from this revised A6 L. The unveiling of the facelifted A6 is not long in coming.
