BMW will now draw the curtain of the renewed 5-series within two weeks. Unfortunately for the brand, the facelifted Fünfer has appeared online for the second time well before the official reveal
Recently, the first images of the facelifted 5-series surfaced via Chinese media and the new set of photos of the renewed BMW also came to us via Chinese channels. With the previous set of leaked images, we kept a close eye on whether it was the real car or whether we were dealing with a digital set of drawings. The new two photos of a ‘real’ shot proves that we also had the facelifted 5-series before us.
This renewed 5-series surfaced in China is a plug-in hybrid 530e L, the variant with an extended wheelbase. In China, BMW only offers the 5 Series in stretched form. The sedan in these photos is therefore more than 13 centimeters longer than the one that you can buy in Europe. However, the size difference does not detract from the novelties that can be seen on this model. The 5 series gets new viewers with a modified layout and the rear lights are also renewed. The bumpers on this copy are also different from those of the current 5-series. Depending on the chosen version, the bumper work will differ from the examples shown here. This 5.1-meter 5-series does not come to Europe in its extended capacity.
