Hyundai has released the first official photos of the renewed i30 N. The fierce appearance of the already known version is not diminished, and that is nothing but good news!
Hyundai presented the facelifted i30 to the world at what should have been the Geneva Motor Show. Not only the i30 Hatchback, but also the i30 Fastback and i30 Wagon were renewed in one go. Hyundai immediately introduced a new N-Line, but the real renewed N-fun kept Hyundai under its cap for a while. It won’t be long before Hyundai presents its arguably most exciting model ever in its entirety. First we get to see a bunch of shadowy photos of the renewed hot hatch.
We can be brief about the appearance of the updated i30 N. That looks just as thick as that of the well-known version. Of course, the i30 N also benefits from the arrival of the renewed grille and modified bumpers that brought the refresh to the regular i30s. The blowpipes at the bottom of the buttocks seem to have grown a bit. The 19-inch light alloy under the car is apparently completely new. Until now, the i30 N, like the i30 N Fastback, was only available with a manual transmission. Hyundai reports that the updated i30 N will in any case also be available with a new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, a transmission specially adapted to the heart of the i30 N and therefore called N DCT.
Whether the facelift also means that changes have been made to the blown 2.0, remains to be seen. The four-cylinder currently produces 250 hp and 353 Nm, but delivers a solid 275 hp and 353 Nm with the optional Performance Package. Soon more!
