Only as a four-wheel drive plug-in

The Kia Sorento received a major refresh last year and it is now known what this has done to the prices. From now on you will spend a little more.
The Kia Sorento was launched about nine months ago in a thoroughly redesigned form in its home country of South Korea. The updated Kia Sorento has now also arrived in the Netherlands, at least in the Dutch price lists. The first copies are expected in Dutch showrooms in mid-June. The Sorento, which now looks more like the EV9 at the front and is also very thoroughly modernized on the inside, returns for the time being with only a plug-in hybrid drivetrain and four-wheel drive. In terms of specifications, the updated plug-in hybrid Sorento is close to what it was previously capable of. The 1.6 T-GDI and electric motor together deliver 252 hp and the expected electric range is 55 km.
The innovation is mainly in the appearance and in the interior, where you will now find a much more modern-looking combination of a 12.3-inch infotainment system and digital instruments (the same size from the DynamicPlusLine onwards). It’s worth something, because you also pay a little more for the Kia Sorento. Prices start at €56,195 for the DynamicLine, just shy of a grand more than the pre-facelift plug-in Sorento DynamicLine. Then you already have adaptive cruise control, electrically adjustable, heated and folding exterior mirrors, front seat heating, steering wheel heating and front and rear parking sensors in the Sorento. A step higher is the €60,295 DynamicPlusLine, which, as mentioned, adds the larger 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, but also electrically adjustable front seats, an electrically operated tailgate, an electrically operated panoramic roof and a Bose sound system.
The ExecutiveLine is the crème de la crème, with extras including nappa leather upholstery, seat ventilation in the front seats, a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, a blind spot camera and intelligent rear parking assistance. It comes in two flavors, namely as a seven-seater costing €64,895 and for €65,895 you have the six-seater, with two captain chairs in the third row of seats instead of the back seat.
You can order immediately, as mentioned, the updated Kia Sorento is expected at the dealer in mid-June.
