Previously, Kia carried out a facelift on the Stinger in its home country. Now that perhaps the nicest Kia of the moment has also been presented in a new form for the European market. The facelifted Stinger can be ordered from November.
The adjustments that Kia made earlier this year on the Stinger are not immediately earth-shattering. The Stinger got a detailed set of LED headlights, copies that are just a bit darker than before. At the rear, Kia screwed a new set of rear lights. As at the front, the shape of the lighting units remained virtually intact, although their layout did change. New: the two light units are now connected to each other by an LED strip. Previously, the two elements were connected by means of a reflective strip. Kia continues the Stinger on new 19-inch large light alloy and the brand introduces a new paint color: Ascot Green.
Kia says it has used higher-quality materials in the interior. The infotainment system’s 10.25-inch instead of the 8-inch display is new, among other things. Kia also gives the Stinger a virtually rimless interior mirror and the option list is expanded with mood lighting with a choice of 64 colors. Nappa leather is available for the seat upholstery in the colors Saturn Black and Red. New is a suede package that brings the soft material, in this case in black, to the interior of the Stinger. The suede is finished with red stitching.
There is also engine news, and not in the form you might expect. The 366 hp and 510 Nm strong 3.3 T-GDI, a V6 petrol engine with two turbos, is now the only power source with which you can get the Stinger in the Netherlands. This four-wheel drive variant has an eight-speed automatic transmission and sprints to a speed of 100 km / h in 4.9 seconds. The milder-set Stinger with 255 hp blown 2.0 petrol engine and the diesel version with the 200 hp CRDi will therefore be canceled.
The renewed Kia Stinger can be ordered from November. Prices of Kia’s renewed showpiece will follow later.
