Subtle refinement

The Mercedes-Benz CLA and CLA Shooting Brake are at the top of Mercedes’ compact model family. Just like cars like the A and GLA class, the CLA will soon get a facelift. The renewed Mercedes-Benz CLA can be seen in public for the first time in these photos in two forms.
Mercedes-Benz will in the long run with the broom through its model range. In particular, the lower positioned ones are hit by quite rough broom hairs. Cars such as the GLA, GLB and CLA may remain, but Mercedes-Benz will eventually stop completely with the A and B class. Nevertheless, almost the entire compact model range from Mercedes-Benz will receive a subtle facelift in the short term. In these photos you see the renewed Mercedes-Benz CLA and CLA Shooting Brake for the first time.
Earlier we were able to show you the facelifted versions of the GLA, GLB, B-class, A-class Hatchback and the A-class Limousine. The CLA and CLA Shooting Brake related to these models, but higher positioned, can now also be seen for the first time in a facelifted form, albeit still in test suit and therefore complete with taped front and rear. The CLA family appears to be revamped in a similar way to the rest of Mercedes’ soon-to-be-renewed siblings. The two CLAs equipped with AMG optics are apparently only mildly revised. The cars get subtly modified fronts, but things like the headlights seem to remain mainly themselves.
Mercedes-Benz CLA and CLA Shooting Brake packed on the road.
You don’t have to count on the arrival of an electric version of the CLA. However, the series of 220 petrol and diesel engines will return to the CLA. The same goes for the more exciting 306 hp AMG 350 and 422 hp AMG 45 S versions. Does the CLA miss the electrification boat completely? Well, the CLA and CLA Shooting Brake are also available as a plug-in hybrid 250e and we expect that 218 hp powertrain will simply return. Thanks to a 15.6 kWh battery, the CLAs can cover 65 to 73 kilometers electrically.
Mercedes-Benz CLA in the Netherlands
Since the introduction of the first generation CLA in 2013, almost 16,500 CLAs have been registered in the Netherlands over two generations. The CLA had its peak year in 2020, when 2,309 copies were registered in the Netherlands. In 2019, with 2,299 units, only ten CLAs less were put on the road in the Netherlands.
