Vizor pioneer

In 2020, the Mokka was the first Opel to be fitted with the then new and now well-known family face with Opel Vizor front. The Mokka has been on the market for almost four years now and that means it deserves a revised overhaul.
In 2020, the Mokka was the first Opel to be designed according to the brand’s new corporate identity introduced in 2018 on the GT X Experimental Concept. The Mokka was fitted with the Opel Vizor, a front with a black panel housing both the logo and the headlights. The Opel Vizor later found its way to the Crossland and Grandland in a somewhat alternative way and can now also be found on the updated Corsa and the brand’s various commercial vehicles. After four years, the Opel Mokka is injected with design DNA from a more recent study model with Experimental in the name: the simply called Opel Experimental show car that debuted in 2023.
Will the Opel Mokka be completely different after its facelift? No. In fact, we think there is a good chance that you will have to look closely to see the differences with the original. Although this stolen test sample is still richly decorated with camouflage stickers, it is clear that the front bumper and the mesh in both the upper and lower cooling openings have been revised. We see more novelties in the design of the light units. The hook-shaped LED layout of the headlights and taillights will be retained, although the small vertical part will soon be segmented. We have already seen this new light signature on the Experimental and on this crazy Rocks extreme. The facelifted Corsa and the Frontera successor to the Crossland will have a similar signature, the same applies to the successor to the Grandland, which may be called Monterey. We will probably come across this new Opel logo at the back and front of the new Crossland.
Opel will undoubtedly also make adjustments to the interior of the Mokka, although these will mainly relate to matters such as the infotainment system. You do not have to count on thorough technical changes. The electric Mokka Electric is already available with 136 hp and 156 hp powertrains with a 50-kWh and 54-kWh battery pack. We do expect that the facelifted Mokka will be introduced to the 100 hp and 136 hp mild-hybrid powertrains that parent company Stellantis is currently rolling out on almost all compact models. The Mokka, apart from the EV, is currently available with a 100 hp 1.2 in combination with a manual gearbox. There is also a 130 hp 1.2 that is always connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
