In September last year, SsangYong presented the facelifted Tivoli to European consumers. The compact crossover came with a new petrol and a new diesel engine after its refresh. Good news: the range is extended at the bottom with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine. In addition, Techzle now has all the prices of the sharpened crossover.
Although Tivoli, which was presented in 2015 in its home country of South Korea, was already refreshed in May last year, SsangYong kept the version intended for the European market under wraps until September. In that month it was announced that the engine range of the Tivoli on our continent would be overhauled. The 128 hp naturally aspirated 1.6 petrol engine was replaced by a 163 hp and 280 Nm 1.5 T-GDI, a blown four-cylinder. The 1.6 diesel was renewed and now it kicks up to 136 hp and 320 Nm. If you think the 163 hp T-GDI is too powerful, you can also turn to SsangYong for a brand new 1.2, a three-cylinder!
The new 1.2-liter blown petrol engine, always mounted on a six-speed manual gearbox, delivers 128 hp and 230 Nm of torque. Thus, this new power source is in fact the direct replacement for the old 1.6. Average consumption is 5.9 l / 100 km. SsangYong is asking € 23,088 for the Crystal Tivoli with this new 1.2. For the Amber and Quartz flavors, SsangYong asks € 25,621 and € 27,023 respectively. Unlike the Tivoli with 1.5 T-GDI and 1.6 diesel, the compact Korean with 1.2 is not available with four-wheel drive.
1.5 T-GDI
The starting price of the Tivoli with 163 hp 1.5 T-GDI is set at € 28,169. For that amount, the SsangYong is designed as Crystal. This trim level is only available in conjunction with front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission. Amber is one step higher on the performance ladder and there is more to choose from. The front-wheel drive variant costs € 30,670 and € 35,650 respectively with manual transmission and six-speed automatic transmission. Both the manual version and the variant with automatic transmission are available with four-wheel drive. For those versions you will have to pay € 41,020 and € 49,816 respectively. The higher positioned trim levels Quartz, Onyx and Sapphire are also available with manual gearbox and automatic transmission and with front and four-wheel drive. The latter top version, in combination with front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual gearbox, has a starting price of € 35,344. If you choose the four-wheel drive version with automatic transmission, the price will rise to € 54,490.
1.6 Diesel
Also for the Tivoli with 136 hp 1.6 diesel, all versions with the exception of entry-level Crystal are available with front and four-wheel drive and there is also a choice of a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission. The front-wheel drive and manual equipped Crystal has a starting price of € 33,147 in this case. The Amber, with front-wheel drive and manual gearbox, changes ownership from € 35,452 while for a front-wheel drive version with automatic transmission you lose € 40,278. Prefer four-wheel drive? Count on prices of € 44,213 and € 54,024 for the manual version and the automatic version. The top version Sapphire costs in the simplest gear, so with manual gearbox and front-wheel drive, € 40,126. Those who prefer the machine will lose € 44,952 in that case. For the four-wheel drive Sapphires with manual gearbox and automatic transmission you will have to spend € 48,886 and € 58,698 respectively.
In total, SsangYong has only sold 39 Tivoli models in the Netherlands since 2015. One new copy was registered last year. You can read more about the facelifted SsangYong Tivoli here.
