The Volkswagen ID3 is getting a refresher and it is becoming increasingly clear what we can expect from it. In any case, the load capacity is improving.
There is a not too shocking facelift waiting for the Volkswagen ID3. We now know, based on sketches and spy photos, that the appearance remains largely the same. On top of the nose, things are designed differently and the bumper gets a somewhat different layout. The butt seems to stay pretty much the same. It may become more interesting what has been renewed subcutaneously. Now we know that the payload, at least with the Pro S, is improving.
The Volkswagen ID3, which is now available with a 58 kWh battery, can be filled with power with a maximum of 120 kW. The ID3 Pro S, which was removed from the price list as of this year, had a 77 kWh battery that could handle up to 125 kW fast charging and could therefore be charged from 5 to 80 percent full in 38 minutes. With the renewed Volkswagen ID3 Pro S, the fast charging capacity will increase to 170 kW. This allows you to charge from 5 to 80 percent in 30 minutes, which saves 8 minutes. It is not yet known how large the battery of the new version is. Chances are that this improvement also heralds shorter load times for less fortunate ID3s.
On March 1, Volkswagen pulls the curtain on the updated ID3.
