Curious about detailed information about your computer and are you not satisfied with the information that Windows itself gives you, for example via the System Information section? Time for some outside help. Belarc Advisor gives you information about installed software, hardware and security settings.

belarc 2

Belarc Advisor has been around for many years and is therefore a veteran. The program runs on all common versions of Windows, including Windows 10 and Windows 11. It is nice that the software also runs on other platforms, including macOS. You may use Belarc Advisor free of charge in a home environment.

In the main window you can see the most important components of the computer at once. Here you can read which operating system is active, which processor you are using, which memory is installed and which motherboard is in use. You have access to additional information via individual sections. Belarc Advisor keeps track of which updates have been installed and which ones you are still missing. In addition, you can request information about the network, for example during troubleshooting. Large icons at the top of the window show whether the system is sufficiently secured. The program also keeps track of which software keys you have used for programs: useful if you have lost your key and want to reinstall the software.
