The software focuses entirely on disk management. For example, the program offers the possibility to recover disappeared files from the disk and you can perform advanced disk actions. This includes cloning partitions and quickly making backups of existing data partitions.
The relatively large number of step-by-step plans and clear explanations are particularly positive. Often similar programs are mainly aimed at the more advanced user and manuals are overlooked. That is not the case with DiskGenius. You will find an extensive manual on the website. In addition to the online manual, you can also read the information in an offline PDF document. The software is also useful for restoring previously made backups and – as mentioned earlier – for recovering lost files. At the time of writing, about 100 file types are supported for this. In practice, advanced users end up with the paid version of the software. Here we find more extensive features, such as sector-level backup and broader support for virtual disks.
