With Fan Control you gain more insight and better control over the different fans in the computer case.
By: Dennis Gandasoebrata
This means that you no longer need different programs for each of your fans, but can manage a large part from one central environment.
In the main window you will find the different fans, with each fan housed in its own plane. You can adjust the variables based on the capabilities of the specific fan, for example when a fan should be turned on or off. Additionally, you can add multiple sensors via plugins, which allow third parties to provide Fan Control support and also allow you to build in things like temperature, fan speeds, and controls for those components. The software is interesting, for example, if you build systems yourself and want to optimally coordinate the mutual components. You will find the necessary documentation and explanation on the website.
Fan Control is open source and you can use the program for free. The plug-in system is a smart addition with which the maker hopes to reach the largest possible user group. The software will become more useful if the creators publish some examples of optimized schemes, on which you can base your own optimizations. The configuration wizard that appears after installation is nice and helps identify the components.
