Globetrotter visually shows where you have been on holiday (via a map) and helps you create automatic memories.

Back from holiday with a beautiful photo and video collection that you would like to share with others? Globetrotter helps you with the presentation. The app visually shows where you have been (via a map) and helps you create automatic reminders. The makers also pay attention to statistics: you can keep track of, among other things, what percentage of the world you have already explored and how many continents and countries you have visited.
You can also invite other Globetrotter users from your network of friends to a friendly competition and see who has traveled the most. That one gamification has been implemented in various places of the app. This way you can collect virtual flags of the countries you have been to. There is also a link with Instagram, with which you can share your experiences directly with the outside world via Instagram Stories.
The app works on a subscription model: you pay about 5 euros for a month. A one-off ‘purchase’ of 35 euros will save you money if you like the app. It’s a shame that the app is not available for Android users.
Worth mentioning is the strong opinion of the makers in the field of privacy: they believe it is important that all personal data is only stored on the local device. So no personal information is sent to external servers.
