With the MyData app – published by the Dutch government – you can generally request information about you that is stored in the government’s systems.

Review My Data: your information from the governmentThe information varies: for example, you can request information about identity cards, such as driver’s license and passport. This concerns practical information, of which you want to be reminded, for example. A good example is the expiry date of an identity document. There is a link with your calendar, so that you can immediately place the reminder here. Several resources are available. In addition to the aforementioned personal information, you can also see which courses are linked to your name and which information about your income is known to the government. You can also find information about the home – such as energy label.
The government has several apps at the time of writing. There is also the MijnOverheid app (for contact with the government) and the Message Box app (which stores personal correspondence with the government).

It is nice to be able to report incorrect data, so that it can be corrected in the government’s systems if necessary. The same goes for updating missing data.
