Normally, to chat with another Apple user, you need a working internet connection. What if you don’t have it, for example on the plane or abroad.
With Near Message, the developer has developed a way to communicate with others via your local network.

You use one peer to peer– or ad-hoc connection and therefore no longer needs to be online, as is necessary with Apple’s official communication channels.
You can exchange various messages via Near Message. For example, the app supports sending and receiving text, but also images. You can also exchange separate files with each other. You can search for nearby contacts via the app. It is important that others have also opened the app.
The maker has developed the app for different devices: you can use Near Message on iPhone, iPad and Mac. At the time of writing, the app has only been available for a few months: the number of options may expand over time.
