Smart door locks come in different flavors and price ranges. For example, there are smart door locks that completely replace your cylinder and there is a difference in the connection: WiFi or Bluetooth. The cylinder of the smart Netatmo door lock is placed in the existing lock and can be operated with the Securityapp (iPhone/iPad or Android) from Netatmo. What is new is that you can use the supplied NFC keys. It is easy to install and configure. It meets high safety requirements both physically and technically, thanks to, among other things, an anti-drill plate and three safety pins.
The lock does what it is supposed to do and the nice, clear and improved app has a lot of improvements under the hood. If you have a B&B or rent a home, you can also give someone access for a longer period of time. The only downside in the new app is that when adding extra text and access for a longer period of time, the app did not (yet) work correctly. That may have been resolved by now. For Apple users there is another plus that you can use the Homeapp has more options, such as automation. The downside is the price at around €380. This makes it €100 more expensive than other smart locks, but you do get three extra smart keys.
