Laptops can be divided into the type of use one has in mind. There are laptops for general office work or home use, for photo and video processing, gaming and recently the CoPilot+ PCs for office work in combination with local AI processing. This time we’ve put a number of different Windows models side by side and seen how they hold up under a range of testing tools.
Gaming laptops require high processing power in combination with a separate graphics processor that can process many image changes (fps) and preferably with the highest possible resolution. The screen must therefore also have a high refresh rate and be able to display the pixels quickly. Laptops for the graphics world require fast systems with a screen that displays the fullest possible range of colors. If you work with more demanding photo and video applications that perform AI optimizations, they also like to use a separate graphics controller to keep processing time within limits. The laptops for general use at home or in the office have less stringent requirements and are preferably equipped with a mid-range processor with ample memory and a fast SSD. The graphics processor in these models is often integrated into the processor.
Comparing systems based on test tools provides a good overview of what they are good at and for what purpose and primary use they are suitable. So it is not about the best laptop, but for what purpose the laptop is marketed. So apples and oranges are being compared.
