Personal Safety is an app that helps you prepare for and respond to an emergency. The app quickly provides you with the help and information you need.

Technology can also come in handy for personal security. A good example of this is the app Personal safety from Google. The app is intended, among other things, for those who feel less safe at certain times, for example in the evening while walking on the street or in a threatening situation.

The app only works properly once you have fully configured it. This way you can share information with contacts in case of emergency. To do this, you specify one or more emergency contacts. This is a useful thing to do anyway: in an emergency, other people can easily view and call these designated contacts on your phone, without having to unlock the device. After this, you indicate what communication should take place in the event of an emergency. For example, you can indicate that a text message should be sent when the phone battery has less than 15 percent charge left, as soon as you make an emergency call or when you start or end a phone call. In addition, your current location can be shared with the contacts.

The app is made up of a number of tabs: on the tab Features you will find a complete overview of the functions. Tap Try demo to try each feature and assess whether it contributes to your safety.
