For those who want to compare supermarket prices, PingPrice has recently been launched for the Dutch market
There are price comparison tools available for various purposes, but for those who want to compare supermarket prices, PingPrice has recently been available for the Dutch market. The app has been available for other markets for a longer time, but now also works for our supermarkets.
The barcode plays an important role in the app. You can scan the code on a package, after which the app provides the current price information. The products are shown in an overview and icons show in which supermarkets the product is available. You can create virtual shopping baskets, in which you place products and then perform a total price comparison. If you want to keep an eye on the price of a specific product, you can set a notification.
In addition, the app allows you to track how product prices are developing.
For the completeness of the comparison, you are dependent on the number of connected supermarkets. The most popular supermarkets are currently included in the comparisons. For example, you will find Jumbo, Dirk van den Broek, Albert Heijn and Plus. You can also provide your location, so that the app can take into account the proximity of your products.
