An important function is support communities. This allows you to create your own community and invite members to join it. You can organize various activities within a community. This way you can organize a virtual event and have access to moderation functions for the content. The community function is not new: the functionality was already included in the mobile version of Teams.
AI is also increasingly used in Teams. The program now also supports Microsoft Designer, which uses ‘generative AI’. This means that you can have images generated within the Teams environment based on a description. The result in practice is variable. The AI works better if you help the system get started by uploading a photo yourself that can serve as a basis.
Under the hood, the makers have managed to achieve a speed gain by using a more modern one framework. At the time of writing, only the Windows 11 version of Teams has received this rejuvenation, but the development team does report that the Teams version for Windows 10 will also eventually be updated with similar functionality.
