Rolls-Royce releases a first official teaser image that the luxury brand announces the arrival of a new Ghost. The new sedan will arrive in a few months.
In a hymn of praise, Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös applauds the Ghost, Rolls-Royce’s most popular model. The current model is basically from 2009 and that makes the sedan now a veteran. Our spy photographer has already seen the successor of the current Ghost several times, but now CEO Müller-Ötvös himself reports that the brand will introduce that car to the world in a few months. That announcement is accompanied by a teaser image that shows the contours of the new Ghost.
Torsten Müller-Ötvös says, among other things, that Rolls-Royce started developing the new model five years ago. The brand values of Rolls-Royce should be more pronounced in the new Ghost than in any other model of the brand. The new Ghost would be completely new, only the umbrella hidden in the doors would, together with the Spirit of Ecstasy, be the only things that are transferred from the current model to the new one.
The new Ghost will undoubtedly also have a longer EWB variant, a version with a longer wheelbase. The current model is on a thoroughly modified platform from the previous generation BMW 7 series. However, the new Ghost will be more Rolls-based. We aim for part of the base to come from the current Phantom presented in 2017.
