From V12 to fully electric

It is not completely unexpected, but it is a special moment: Rolls-Royce announces that we no longer have to expect any new model with a fuel engine.
Rolls-Royce was conservative for a long time when it came to electric power, but eventually tacked. In October, it presented its first series production car with an electric powertrain: the Spectre. It was also agreed that Rolls-Royce will only offer electric cars from 2030. That will take another seven years. Enough time to get going with the V12, so. However, in that respect it remains with the current offer.
In conversation with the British Coach explains CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvos that the current fuel-engined cars, the Phantom, Ghost, Cullinan, Wraith and Dawn, will at most be updated and will not receive a fuel-engine successor. Every new Rolls-Royce will be electric. The Wraith and Dawn are the oldest of the bunch, so count on it being the first V12 models we’re saying goodbye too. After that, the Phantom is the oldest. It was recently facelifted, possibly for the last round with a fuel engine. Ötvos adds that there are no hard deadlines yet for the V12 models and that the Phantom certainly still has some years of life ahead of it. Rolls-Royce will also work to the last minute to ensure that the V12 meets the emission regulations, according to him.
