Rolls-Royce presents the Phantom Syntopia. A special collaboration between the British luxury brand and the Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen.

If you order a Rolls-Royce Phantom, you can completely indulge yourself in decorating the car according to your personal wishes. Around the bespokeTo showcase the possibilities once again, Rolls-Royce collaborated with the Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen. It has a fashion collection called Syntopia, in which ‘flowing forms’ are central. This is certainly reflected in this Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended of the same name.

To begin with, the extra-long Phantom already has a kind of wave pattern on its enormous bonnet, but the real work of art can be found inside. In the rather dark interior, apart from the starry sky-like seat upholstery, the sky especially stands out. It is precisely on this that Van Herpen unleashed her creativity. The headlining consists of one uninterrupted piece of leather in which three-dimensional ‘waves’ have been applied by Van Herpen’s studio 162 to visualize flowing water. Then 187 luminous ‘stars’ in the sky were placed next to the wave pattern by hand.

In total, according to Rolls-Royce, there is no less than 700 hours of work in the headliner. It speaks of the ‘technically most complex bespoke Phantom ever’. In May, the Rolls-Royce will be delivered to the lucky clients, who will include the car in a private collection.
