RST Pathfinder: textile outfit for adventure touring

They have become big and famous in racing, but British clothing manufacturer RST has also started targeting tour and all-road segments. New in the collection is the Pathfinder, which, according to the British, nestles between the Paragon and the Maverick outfits.

RST Pathfinder: textile outfit for adventure touring

In terms of material choice, the Pathfinder is constructed from top-class synthetic textiles for an ideal balance between protection and wearing comfort. High density ballistic nylon has been applied to the extra vulnerable, crash-prone parts for even greater wear and tear resistance.

When the weather changes, according to RST you can fully rely on the laminated SinAqua Pro membrane for 100% waterproofing, extra breathability and a jacket that does not increase in weight because the water is not absorbed into the outer fabric.

Outside the summer season and on cool mornings, the warm thermal lining should ensure a pleasant body temperature. If the mercury rises, the lining can be removed and the ventilation openings ensure the flow of fresh wind. Accumulated body heat can leave the inside of the jacket by unzipping the waterproof zippers at the back.

Seasoned riders are helped with the removable stock stock with collar. This cold-resistant and waterproof connection between the jacket and the rider’s chin keeps out any draft or rainwater around the neck.

On the back, the Pathfinder features a sizable pocket for carrying the liner, maps or other essentials. To avoid wind flapping at higher speeds, the sleeves and waist feature adjustable adjustments for a more tailored fit. With the 360° zip around the waist, the matching Pathfinder trousers can be zipped onto the jacket securely, leak- and draft-free.

These eponymous pants also feature the laminated SinAqua membrane and are equipped with ventilation openings for high summer conditions. Fall-prone areas such as the seat, legs and hips are extra reinforced and made even more wear-resistant. At the bottom of the trouser legs, zippers and Velcro have been applied for easier putting on and taking off the motorcycle boots. A set of braces should of course not be missing in the standard equipment.

In terms of protection, the RST Pathfinder uses homologated protectors that comply with European regulations.
