We get to see the first leaked renders of Samsung Galaxy A73. Samsung is coming with another chipset and a camera upgrade with a 108 MP main camera. Samsung would already release the phone in December. We already know this.
Samsung Galaxy A73
The Samsung Galaxy A73 is coming: in 2022 the bigger brother of the Galaxy A53. Traditionally, this range has been somewhat in the shadow of the slightly cheaper models and it remains to be seen whether that trend will be broken next year. Now we get from the reliable OnLeaks the first renders of the Galaxy A73.
We immediately see that the design feels very familiar compared to the devices last year. The phone will again have a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a notch in the middle. What is under discussion is the refresh rate, because some sources have about 90 Hz while others talk about a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The fingerprint scanner is again below the screen.
108MP camera with OIS
New is the more powerful chipset that is under the skin of this phone: a Snapdragon 750G, or the processor with 5G modem that got a place in the Galaxy A52 5G last year. Samsung runs this chipset with 8 GB of RAM and at least 128 GB of storage.

The battery is a 5000 mAh model and charging can be done this time with a more powerful 33W charger. The A73 will immediately work with Android 12 and Samsung’s One UI 4 shell. The camera will receive an upgrade with this upcoming phone, because Samsung wants to use a 108 MP sensor as a replacement for the 64 MP camera from the Galaxy A72. The sensor is equipped with optical image stabilization. Nothing is known about the other sensors yet.
Launch in December?
Remarkably, Samsung plans to launch the phone this month, at least in India, according to rumours. It is not yet known when we can expect him in the Netherlands. The expected suggested retail price is 390 euros.
